“What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think.” It is impossible to reach your full potential if you only abide by what people tell you. If you remain in the box that society puts you in how do you expect to learn and grow as a person. How will new ideas and ways of thinking form if you only stick to the ones given to you. How will new solutions to old problems come about if you think the same way everyone else does. Children begin life with the ideas that were passed on to them from their care givers. These are the same ideas that they believe is law until they become older. As they grow they learn to form their own ideas and opinions about the world and the way it works. They begin to become their own person. Some will follow the crowd and become a homogenous part of society. Others will go on to challenge the ideas society presents to them. They will outgrow the box they were put in and won’t allow others to tell them who they are and what they must be.
